well i just got it 2 days ago, and i am no very happy
the first day it worked great
i was playing a game and i was getting 9fps so after a couple reboots
switching the cards i decided to try it with the ac power not plugged
in AS soon as i unplugged it it jumpd right up to 300 fps then i
plugged it in and dropped right down back to 9
so im thinking its switching to the 9400, when i plug it in, when i unplug it is runs on the dual 280s
no one can help me what is alienwares return policy because this is
just terrible cranking out 4k on a laptop and it not working right
It does sound like it is switching back to the 9400. I think that if you hit FN-F7 it will swicth to the 280s. I think that you can also disable the 9400 from the bios. You can try those options to see if it helps.
this did not help it made me shut down the game to change cards but when i started it up again it still was doing the same thing, i check the bios there enabled. i think the problem is alittle bit more serious..should i call alienware?
Yes, call Alienware. Also check out this website www.notebookreivew.com they have an Alienware area. There is a lot of info posted on that site that may help.
i called after an hour of trouble shooting we go it to work there was something wrong with the battery it had to be reset
