Issue after sleep

When I wake up my computer after sleep one of the Dell displays take a long time to wake up.

This only happens when I have Dell Display and Peripheral Manager running.

Hi @Logshrimp :

Post back let us know the model of your computer and Dell monitor, operating system, and the full name and version number of the Dell Display utility you are having problems with.  If you have Windows OS please let us know your current BIOS version as well [open a Run dialog box (Windows key + R), enter msinfo32 to open your system information, and look for the field named "BIOS Version / Date"].

I don't use an external Dell monitor with my Inspiron 5584 laptop but I gather the Dell Display Manager v1.x and v2.x (DDM - currently v2.3.0.22, rel. 26-Mar-2024) is compatible with 64-bit Win 10 and Win 11 while the Dell Display and Peripheral Manager v1.x (DDPM - currently v1.3.0.0029, rel. 26-Mar-2024) you mentioned can be used with computers with an Apple Mac OS. Is that also your understanding, and have you confirmed that your Dell monitor model and operating system are compatible with display manager utility you are using and that your utility is up-to-date?

If you have a Windows OS please note that the last section of the Dell support article What is Dell Display Manager includes a chart listing the Dell monitor models that are compatible with Dell Display Manager v2.x and/or v1.x.

Hi Logshrimp:

Sorry, I've never used a Dell monitor with a macOS computer so I won't be of much help.  The only good news I can give you is that I can confirm your U2722DE monitor is listed as a compatible model in the support article Dell Display and Peripheral Manager for macOS. Any chance your monitor is still under warranty with Dell?

If another macOS user doesn't jump into this thread to provide assistance you might consider posting your question in the Monitors board of this forum at https://www.dell.com/community/en/topics/monitors. A search of that forum for "U2722DE mac sleep" (without the quotes) produced multiple matches, including Jerry_DD's 16-Feb-2023 U2722DE, lose USB-C signal to Mac Mini M2 Pro where the OP reported the DDPM (Dell Display and Peripheral Manager) seemed to be the cause of their wake-from-sleep problem and Dell employee @DELL-Chris M acknowledged that wake-from-sleep problems with the U2722DE monitor have been reported by other Mac users.

The FAQ Dell Monitor and Apple pinned at the top of that Dell Monitors board might also have some useful information.  One of the suggestions in that FAQ is to search the Apple Support forum for your Dell monitor model, which led me to Spadetown's 02-Aug-2023 M2 Pro Mac Mini not waking Dell U2722DE display
