Network adaptor dell inspiron 3780

Computer crashed and when I try to repair, I get all the way through to restarting when I get "we are you able to detect a network adaptor on your system. In many cases the adaptor may be disabled in your computer settings." Then it tells me to look at the help file but there's no mention of network adaptor in the help file. The wireless icon shows no networks detected. How can I connect?
