I HAVE SOLUTION TO AUTO ADJUST PROBLEM WITH MONITORS.

I have an xps 400 and after a power failure the AUTO ADJUST IN PROGRESS box would pop up during start up. If this happens to you, try this. it worked for me. go to start button on bottom left of your screen and press it find the run pritning and press it. in the box that appears type msconfig in box press ok and the system conguration utility will appear. Select selective start and press apply, when thats done press ok. Then turn off compuer and restart. the auto adjust in progress should be gone. aftre start  up is done press start butoon again then press run and type msconfig in box again, check config utility and check that normal start up has green dot by it. if not press it so dot appears. press ok  and problem should be solved!
