I am helping my friend to find most suitable solution for multimedia business laptop.
I already went through multiple custom builders, but the problem is battery life.
First and most important requirement is autonomy up to 4-5 hours for presentations in the field (no power sockets are available). If extra strong battery option is exists, it would be excellent.
Programs, which will be used are CAD, SolidWorks, Matlab, Mathematica, Simulink, and Photo/Video editing software (not sure which yet), so laptop hardware should be capable of running those ones.
Screen 4K is very beneficial for presentations, but if it will shorten battery life a lot, can be scaled down to HD.
Price cap is around $4K.
Basically, I am looking for the best CPU/GPU combination with program's requirements and battery life in mind.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
to MODs, if this has to be moved to different category, feel free to do so.
