Dell Vostro 470 review - Pros and Cons

This question is not answered

Currently, I'm considering to buy a Dell Vostro 470. What are the "Pros" and "Cons" of that model? Is it (e.g.) noisy? Is it (e.g.) worth upgrading with a (32 GB) Solid State Drive (SSD) Smart Response Technology (SRT) enhancement? Is (e.g.) the quality/price ratio right? What is your experience?

Kind regards.

  • Hi Indicium,

Dell Vostro 470 is the latest system that Dell is shipping. I would recommend you to consider buying this system as it’s built with the latest technology.

Dell manufactures system with the best quality products keeping in mind our customers comfort. Also to make sure that our customers face no difficulties or issues while using the system, so the noise issue in this system is not a concern.

This system is definitely worth upgrading to 32GB SSD and Only the 32 GB mSATA SSD will be used for the Intel Smart Response Technology configurations.

Here are some of the features of the SSD:

    • Faster - The SSD has much faster access times than a conventional hard drive. In some tests, the Windows XP operating system loaded almost twice as fast.
    • More reliable - Since the drive has no moving parts, it is more reliable than standard hard drives or other drives that require motion to work.
    • More durable - No moving parts also means less chance of damage from bumps or impacts.
    • Improved power savings - Conventional hard drives require motors to spin the platters that store data. Eliminating the motor on an SSD creates power savings, which in turn means longer battery life.

You can contact sales team for placing the order and the sales rep will let you know if they are any ongoing promotions or offers.
