  • T7200, T7400, T7600, yes.  No:  T7x00 with x=odd or above 6, T8x00, T9x00, X9x00, etc.

  • Hi

    Thanks for your reply..

So i can upgrade my processor...:-)

whom i should contact to do this??

    Dell or thrid party?

  • You'll need to arrange it yourself - Dell doesn't support CPU upgrades.

  • It's not extremely difficult to do yourself.

I upgraded the processor in my D620 from a T2400, like yours, to a T7600. However, after I upgraded it, I noticed an annoying buzzing sound. Strangely enough, after I got my screen replaced under warranty, the buzzing sound got a lot less noticeable. I think it may have to do with the larger current draw of the Core 2 Duo processor.

A 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 is probably the best balance of power and price. I spent over $300 on the T7600...
