Hello , does anybody know if the Dimension E520 is compatible with the Intel Pentium 4 Processors or any better Intel Processors? I baught a Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 and it is not compatible with it.
I'm not able to return the Core 2 Duo so i just have to buy a brand new one.
Is the Dimension E520 Pentium 4 Compatible?
Ok thank you :D
I might be able to trade or sell this CPU
What about Pentium D?

I've been looking at this for about 4 weeks now....
you might try...
if it doesn't work just return it...
If the Processors end with "50" instaed of "00" it will not work. The ones that end with "00" are 1066mhz FSB as required by the 520 and the "50's" are 1333mhz FSB.
The Core2Duo will work in your E-520. I have the E-6600 in mine upgraded from a Pentiun D 820 Dual Core.
Even the Q-6600 Quad will work.
Just make sure about the bus speed of 1066 mhz.

That's it. Just install and boot as normal. Windows will recognize it and install the necessary drivers. No need to enter the BIOS.
