  • Processor type

    Intel® Pentium® 4 5XXX and 6XXX processors with Hyper-Threading technology

NOTE: Not all Pentium 4 processors support Hyper-Threading technology.

  • The LGA775 socket type also supports Pentium D CPUs. The best you can do is the Pentium D 945 running at 3.4 GHz. I think 0HJ054 is your motherboard. If that's true, then you should have no problems installing the D 945. Other motherboard models suffer from the problem of reporting an "Incompatible CPU" during POST, which requires that you press F1 to continue. Pentium D CPUs work fine except for this one issue at boot time. The E510 does not support E series or Core 2 Duo CPUs. The Pentium D 945 is your best option.

You are replying to a 9 year old thread. If someone is (still) running this type of system, and want to get something 'faster', they are better off buying a newer old computer.
