    Wow, what an excellent process of elimination! Thanks Bev i'll try all that when I get a chance and get back to you as soon as I do it, don't worry I'm very comfortable with the inners of pc's, so that's blue wire to red.... ha only messin!

    I just got a studio XPS 8000 with a BH20N Blu-ray writer. It came with PowerDVD DX. When I insert a Blu-ray movie, PowerDVD gives an error message: incorrect or unsupported format. I went to the Cyberlink website and found out that PowerDVD DX only plays back DVDs not Blu-rays. The Ultra version, however...
