I am a business reseller from Dell and I accidentally ordered the wrong SAS Harddisk for a PowerEdge 2950. My fault..... I instantly called with Dell to ask how we can solve the problem, but the answer I got: Sorry, that's your problem. You can only order new harddisks but we cannot take the wrong...

This may sound like a stupid question, but how do you make the initial connection to the 2808 internal serial port?

Is it possible to flash if the machine won't POST? To be honest, I don't know. I've never had to do it. Seems to me as long as you get to a point where it can recognize the USB key or the floppy drive, it might work. Since your machine is failing so early in the boot process, there's...
