    You may want to post/ask this in the laptop section of these boards instead of under "PowerEdge (server) BIOS/Firmware".

    In theory the server should boot from either disk in a failed state but it may not. The server looks to boot from drive 0(default) unless it has been changed. If drive 0 is removed and you cant boot from drive 1 then just change the cables over, change 1 to 0 then it should boot.

    Hmm...I've never quite understood why many people read threads and simply don't help out, surely the idea of a forum is to read the posts that you know you can help out somebody with and then at least reply?

    670MB is somewhat too small for a system partition. Which system do you use? If you are use Windows Vista or some other more advanced system, you can extend and shrink the disk with the Disk Management tool. If you use some other system, I still recommend the partition software which can ease the partitioning...
