It is my privilege to announce the recently released Connector for Mac OS X version 8.6. Wyse vWorkspace Connectors allow you to access Windows and Linux desktops and applications from any modern Mac OS X end point. Your mobility is improved, security is improved, productivity is improved.
With this release we have added the following features, including the addition of RemoteFX Adaptive graphics and a major redesign of the User Interface to completely streamline the end user experience beginning with the first time they access their corporate virtual workspace.
RemoteFX Adaptive Graphics in Server 2012 and Windows 8 takes advantage of a significant improvement to RDP and extends it to Mac OS X.
The vWorkspace Connector for Mac OS X has been simplified to address the needs of the average user. The user interface no longer contains advanced configuration options. The configuration is completed by the administrator from the vWorkspace Management console. The user is connected to vWorkspace after simply entering an email address or website URL.
Internationalization and localization
The vWorkspace Connector for Max OS X is internationalized and localized. Internationalization is the process of designing a software application so that it can potentially be adapted to languages and regions without engineering changes. Localization is the process of adapting internationalized software for a specific region or language by adding locale-specific components and translating text.
Email-based vWorkspace environment lookup
As mentioned above, Auto-discovery of and authentication to a vWorkspace environment can be made based on the user’s email address. This makes it easy for users to access their applications and data in the vWorkspace environment.
