Invitation to Join - Selecting a Server for Virtualization
We are putting together some pages, chats, and blog entries that will help you in deciding what server to choose for your virtualization needs. This page - Selecting a Server for Virtualization (
http://www.delltechcenter.com/page/Selecting+a+Server+for+Virtualization)
is the main landing page for this topic and will have all the info.
I am offically inviting everyone to chime in with their own experiences, perspectives, and questions. You can do something as simple as reply to this thread to get involved.
I'm starting out the conversation with 2-socket servers (2950III and R805), four socket servers (R900 and R905) and blades (M1000e chassis with M600 and M605 servers), but would like to expand the conversation to include more servers and possibly storage as well. What are we missing? What would you like to see? What are your questions?

RE: Invitation to Join - Selecting a Server for Virtualization
Last week's chat was very good. We had a great discussion that included the R805, blades, and the R900. Today we are going to continue along the same general topic, but specifically look at the 2-socket or 4-socket decision. The link for today's chat is
http://www.delltechcenter.com/page/05-27-08+-+Would+You+Like+2+or+4+Sockets+for+Virtualization
The chat will be at 3 PM Central - hope to see you there.
