SFCC:

(Use 2.1.0 or higher)

(prerequisite for an OpenWSMan installation)

  1. Use the sblim-sfcc-2.2.1.tar.bz2 package
  2. Untar the source tarball (tar -zxvf <tarball>)
  3. cd to the sblim-sfcc directory
  4. ./configure
  5. make
  6. make install
  7. Ensure all steps are completed with no errors


OpenWSMan:

(Use 2.1.0 or higher; available on sourceforge)

  1. Use the openwsman-2.2.1.tar.bz2 package
  2. Untar the source tarball (tar -zxvf|jxvf <tarball>)
  3. cd to the openwsman directory
  4. ./configure (do not enable Ruby or Python bindings)
  5. make
  6. make install
  7. Ensure all steps are completed with no errors
  8. Configure wsman as follows
    • cd /usr/local/etc/openwsman
    • cp <directory for wsman install>/etc/openwsman.conf .
    • Edit the openwsman.conf file as follows (for basic auth)
      1. Comment out the ssl_* and digest_* lines
      2. Edit the basic_password file path to be /usr/local/etc/openwsman/simple_auth.passwd
      3. Under the [cim] section add a new URL to the vendor_namespaces config option -
        • Append a , followed by DCIM=http://schemas.dell.com/wbem/wscim/1/cim-schema/

       9. Start the daemon using the command openwsmand -d

      10. If all config options were fine the daemon should be running and not exit

 

WSManCLI:

(Use 2.1.0 or higher; available on sourceforge)

  1. Use the wsmancli-2.1.0.tar.bz2 package
  2. EXPORT LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
  3. EXPORT PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/local/lib/pkgconfig
  4. Untar the source tarball (tar -zxvf|jxvf <tarball>)
  5. cd to the wsmancli directory
  6.  ./configure
  7. make
  8. make install
  9. Ensure all steps are completed with no errors
