The Dell Client System Update (DCSU) application provides update capabilities for Dell™ OptiPlex™, Latitude™ and Dell Precision™ client platforms. DCSU is locally installed on the target system. It includes support for retrieving and installing updates for BIOS, drivers, and system software released by Dell.View the User Guide for up-to-date information, including supported operating systems and models.Note that DCSU supports only the most common updates across these systems; therefore, the updates offered and installed by DCSU may be a subset of all the updates offered on Dell's support Web site.Dell Client System Update is primarily targeted at customers who want to manage systems on their own. The tool is designed to allow users to specify their update preferences and even apply updates based on the criticality. Alternatively, end users can use the scheduling option to keep their systems up-to-date with the systems software released by Dell.A local repository can be created with Repository Manager for Clients

Below are some screen displays for the Dell Client System Update utility.By default, simply click the arrow to check for updates (requires admin privileges).The scan will begin. It will contact www.dell.com to verify you have the latest drivers and applications. (Use the Advanced tab to modify proxy settings, if needed.)A summary appears. You can click the Install button to install all updates, and enable the check box to Automatically reboot when required....Or, select Customize selection for more information, and to deselect updates, if desired. Then select Continue to install.Click the Advanced tab to configure internet proxy settings, or to set a schedule to automatically check for and/or deploy updates on a regular interval.Click system details to display current driver and BIOS versions. You can even Export these details to an .xml file.You can also view and export the activity log if desired.
