Although the installation notes for v2.1 recommend uninstalling DSDP v2.0 from ConfigMgr 2007 before migrating to 2012, this was not an option for us. We have successfully migrated our OSD task sequences along with their corresponding drivers & driver packages and have recreated the boot images using the migrated drivers.
However, what will happen when we install DSDP v2.1? Will it overwrite all the existing 2.0 drivers & packages, or will it nicely install them alongside?I'm seriously hoping it'll be the latter, as I cannot afford to be forced into a whole iterative testing schedule for new/updated drivers
After all is said and done, a whole lot more is said than done ...
Is DSDP v2.0 installed already on SCCM 2012 box? The boot images that are created on SCCM 2012 box, are they created using DSDP v2.0 on SCCM 2012?
If DSDP v2.0 (or older versions) is not installed on the SCCM 2012 box, installing DSDP v2.1 will not affect the exisiting OS driver packs, boot images, or task sequences.

Thanks, Sunil - that's all I needed to know.
