I am trying to import traps from the Kemp LoadMaster MIB which does contain NOTIFICATION-TYPE entries but they are not found by Dell OME 2.2 MIB Import tool. I attached the MIB files.
Please let me know what is wrong.
Thanks for the query.
We have analysed the B100-MIB, there are 4 traps defined in it. The MIB is not structured properly, and hence, parse operation of OME is failing to recognize the traps.
I would request you to either get the vendor fix the MIB, or, define the traps manually for the time being. You can use "Add Trap" functionality present on "Alerts --> Manage Traps --> Custom Trap Definitions" page in OME 2.2 for the same.
You can define the traps in following way:
Category Name: Choose category
Description: Notification sent when a Virtual Service changes state.
Trap Name: vSstateChange
Generic Id: 6
Enterprise OID: .126.96.36.199.4.1.12188.8.131.52
Specific Id: 1
Format String: Notification sent when a Virtual Service changes state. vSstate: $1, vSip: $2, vSport: $3, vSaddrtype: $4, vSname: $5, vSidx: $6
Severity: Choose severity
Description: Notification sent when a Real Server changes state.
Trap Name: rSstateChange
Specific Id: 2
Format String: Notification sent when a Real Server changes state. rSstate: $1, rSip: $2, rSport: $3, rSaddrtype: $4, rSidx: $5, vSip: $6, vSport: $7, vSaddrtype: $8, vSname: $9, vSidx: $10
Description: Notification sent when a failover occurs.
Trap Name: hAstateChange
Specific Id: 3
Format String: Notification sent when a failover occurs. hAstate: $1
Description: Notification when a timed License has expired.
Trap Name: licenseExceeded
Specific Id: 4
Format String: Notification when a timed License has expired.
Thank you for your help, I will try this.
