I'm running OpenManage on my ESX hosts and I'm unable to send alerts via OpenManage Server Administrator. I get the following error when I try to send a test alert:
I've tried every permutation of settings. Any advice much appreciated.

SMTP Server Name: <my local Exchange server>
DNS Suffix: myfakecompany.com

Are you trying to send an email via OpenManage Essentials or OpenManage Server Administrator?
For OME, you may also try using the Troubleshooting Tool that is on your desktop. It is installed automatically when you install OME. You may need to ensure that the email address you are using ('from address') is authorized to send email in your Exchange (or whatever) environment.
When I've seen stuff in the past, it has been because folks use some bogus email address like: OME_Dell_admin@acme.com. And in fact that email address is not defined in Exchange as an addr that can send email.
