Howdy all, does ITAssist work with EqualLogic 5500 ISCSI device? If so can somebody please provide me with some insight as to how to get ITAssist to recognize the device as other than unknown?

you can download the needed MIBs for SNMP via equallogic.com/support Website (be sure to have a login ready or request one via login dialog) , you will find them via firmware update, the MIBS are suitable for each firmware version. you need to configure the eql on the config web site for SNMP , please refer the group admin documentation (can be found for download at equallogic support page), section 3 "configuring group settings" , in the appendix the MIBS are also drescribed.
You need also to import the MIBs into IT Assistant , please refer the documentation, based on used Version, at dell doumentation site http://support.euro.dell.com/support/edocs/software/smitasst/ , check for importing mibs or setting up connections, at least, you can also use the SAN headquarter for Equallogic , which is very useful for monitoring performance as well as hardware and managing several eqls in enviroment with one tool, you can get the tool at equallogic support site as well as documentation. Be sure to have latest firmwareverion installed (actually 4.14)
