    how does one determine and/or rest the IP for a DRAC 5 when ESX is running on the box?
    clarification...
    * DRAC5 in 2970
    * ESX4 classic (not ESXi)

    Hello Brian,

    my approach might be to install and configure open manage on esx server ,with open manage you can access and configure the DRAC card as well get infos about server status ,etc. I found an interesting workaround on http://communities.vmware.com/thread/220783 which describes how to use a RCLI to install open manage, I will also drop you a pdf via e-mail, but the approach with the RCLi might be a solution.
