The OMCI extension allows us to add bios admin passwords and several other settings. What I am looking for is how to set the HDD password using script.
Googled for it till I looked cross eyed but there is nothing out there that matched my request. Lots of "how do I get rid of the password" stuff but that is NOT what I am looking for.
I want to protect our company laptops from theft. Most of our System preparing is done through script (95%).
Only thing mising in the script is to automate the HDD password setting (scripted)

Is there anyone who does know how to set the HDD password for DELL laptops using script (vba)?

From the OMCI team - Unfortunately, there is no way at this time for OMCI to actually set the HDD password remotely since it requires a local acknowledgement on the next reboot.

The script is not executed remotely.
It is running on local while the OS is installed on the laptop.
Is there any chance that it will be added in the next OMCI version?
