MD3200I can't be managed after upgrade 08.20.24.60

This question has been answered by sofiene.benyahia

Hi,

We have a PowerVault MD3200i and we've bought 5 new disk SAS 4Tb.

to support the new disks i must upgarde the firmware to 08.20.24.60 with mdsm 6.5.0.1.

after upgrade to 08.20.24.60 our MD3200i can't be managed with mdsm 6.5.0.1.

in the menu Tools--> Manage store is greyed.

Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.  If any more info is required from me, please let me know and I'll be happy to provide it.

  • Hello,

Ping the 2 management IP is ok but the  problem persist.

The issue was solved by installing the MDSM 6.5.0.1 in another station.

    Thanks a lot.

  • Hello sofiene.benyahia,

What I would try first is to remove your MD3200i from MDSM & logout of MDSM. Login then re-discover your MD3200i. If that is still not allowing you to manage your MD3200i then I would try to ping the management IP & see if you are getting any replies. Also I would check to ensure that they link lights are working on your management ports as well.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
