Equalogic PS 6500
Hi,
apologies I am new to Dell Equalogic SANS. I have an old PS5000 & 2 x PS6500 all in different groups. How do I re-intialise these SANS? How do I remove a group member if it is the last member in the group (web gui will not let me)? Please note losing data is not an issue I am starting fresh. I was hoping to have all the SANS in 1 group.
Thanks In Advance

RE: Equalogic PS 6500
Phanto,
As long as data retention is not an issue, you can reset any array to factory default, by doing the following:
1) connect to the array via Serial connection
2) Logon to the array using your grpadmin account and password
3) run the "reset" command.
You will be asked to verify the command by entering "DeleteAllMyDataNow" exactly. You will NOT be able to use backspace if you make an error...you will have to run the command again. As you will be able to tell...we definitely want to be sure you want to reset the volume :).
This and all CLI commands can be found on our support site at equallogic.com
Thanks,
