Removing "NT Authority\Authenticated users" selectively

Removing "NT Authority\Authenticated users" selectively

This question has been answered by iliasotnikov

Hi all.

Do you know if the following is possible in Site Admin/Security Explorer:

I know we can do this on a site/site collection level but do we know if there is a way to have this group removed from top level SP sites but only from SharePoint groups like owners, members, visitors and not like the style library type groups?

Thanks,

jAC

  • John,

You can use Security Explorer to selectively clear NT Authority\Authenticated Users from the individual groups you want.

As for the bulk actions, these will apply to the entire scope where you run it, including style libraries, etc. The current version of Site Administrator does not have such granularity to exclude specific groups or libraries from the scope of search or remove permissions bulk action. A workaround could be to use other groups such as Domain Users on the style libraries.
