I have to load in a dropdown list all document libraries of my site. I think I could use qSelector and create a Custom Action to load the combo. Also I have another dropdown list that should auto load when an option is selected in the dropdown primary list.
Is is possible to do this? I don't know how to Implement custom actions neither.
Could you give me some guidance?
Thank you in advance
The qSelector doesn’t have Custom Action. It just can load the data from a list/document.
About your second question, I think you can connect with the two qSelectors each other by using the session(pass the parameter to CAML filter) or the OOB web part connection.
How do I implement a custom action on a button?
When i click on the button i want to raise the form values and generate a document
I am sorry, the qSelector doesn’t support the custom action. But the other web parts such as qListForm can support it.
For example, in qListForm, you can add a custom action in the toolbar buttons. About your scenario, I think you can try to create a workflow to do that, apply the workflow to a list, when the items are added/updated, the workflow will be triggered automatically. The workflow can do anything you want to do.
On the other hand, if you want to implement the custom action by writing the code, you can select the “Custom” in the custom action, and select/input the Class setting. for more details, you can open the help document and search “Custom Action”, you will see how to implement the code. And we also provide the sample code after you install Quick apps, the default path is: C:\Program Files\Dell\Quick Apps for SharePoint\Sample Code.
