One of my SQL Servers monitored with Foglight has a volume that is used solely for TempDB. The size configured for TempDB uses about 97% of the storage on the volume. As a result the host agent continually is generating an alert.
My question is what is the best approach to prevent any alerting from this host for this particular volume while not hindering the database agent from continuing to monitor TempDB?
Hi NewUserPlease take a look at en.community.dell.com/.../19558825 and en.community.dell.com/.../19558825 which detail how you can use the Registry to amend alerting for particular volumes.Brian
Think I figured it out. If I've missed something please let me know.
Added an entry to the Excluded Drives list for the particular agent.
New entry:Host Name Expression: <server_name>Drive Name Expression: E:.*
this has removed the drive from the WindowsAgent monitoring but it appears to have had no impact on the database monitoring.
