Foglight for Virtualization - Adding vSphere ESXi hosts

This question is not answered

Hi,

When adding hosts to my vSphere 5.5 vCenter - how do I make the right changes on foglight to 'see' the new host?

I have tried restarting both vCenter and Foglight to no avail. The new host is just not 'picked' up by Foglight.

How can you force that? Deregister and reregister Foglight with the vCenter?

Best regards

Bjarke

  • Hi,

Please check if this support article apply

Also, did you try to restart the vmware agent?

    Thanks

  • Hi Golan,

Thx for answering - both my posts!

Have an eerie feeling that I am not seeing the same as you, or finding my way 'round FVS is just not that up to speed.

I have read both your answers but fail to find anything in my GUI that resembles the answer. SRY to be such a n00b with this product.

Is it possible to provide my with what to do exactly after logging on to FVS via the Web GUI?

    Best Regards

  • Just to verify.

    FVS suggests http://software.dell.com/products/foglight-for-virtualization-standard-edition/

Just making sure the product is licensed for enough hosts/sockets, checking the guides (install/config and user guide)  I see it mentioning the need to allocate socket licenses and mentioning licensed hosts and and fully licensed clustered being included in analysis.
