The Dell TechCenter is an online technical community for Dell Enterprise products. We reach out to customers in several ways:
- The Dell TechCenter Wiki is like Wikipedia for Dell Enterprise products. Our goal is to provide technical content that makes the lives of our customers' easier. Topics cover the full gamut of Server technologies including Storage, Systems Management, Virtualization, Networking, Client Management, Blade Systems, etc. Through the wiki, want to reduce complexity, show you how to get the most of our products, and give you information that goes above and beyond what a user guide or marketing materials can tell you.
- We host weekly Tech Tuesday chatroom sessions at 3PM CST where we invite customers to chat with the Dell folks who work behind the scenes to give you an in depth look into Dell products. Chat sessions last for an hour and customers are encouraged to ask questions in order to get news straight from the experts who design Dell products.
- Dell TechCenter hosts a discussion forum where we discuss Dell Enterprise products, share best practices, give advice, and answer general questions relating to how to best use Dell. We also share best practices for and provide pre-sales information on Dell products.
- We write timely blog posts about the topics our customers care about on the Dell TechCenter Blog.
- We create hands-on, how-to videos that we share both on the wiki and in our YouTube channel.
While we aim to help our customers in any way we can, The Dell TechCenter team does not provide direct customer support. We specialize in highlighting what you can do with your Dell products instead of fixing them in the rare case that you encounter an issue.
For urgent break-fix issues, please contact Dell support or visit support.dell.com for driver downloads. For discussion forums that discuss Dell products, you are best served in the Dell Support Forums.
Additionally, the @DellCares Twitter account is online to listen, help and provide proactive info to Dell Customers.
Anyone who is curious about Dell Enterprise technologies can benefit from the Dell TechCenter. We get tens of thousands of hits a month, and have readers all around the world. In fact, we just launched Dell TechCenter sites for our Japanese ,Chinese , and German speaking customers. Most TechCenter readers work in IT, whether their server environment is in a small server room or a large dataceter.
Everyone is welcome to participate in the Dell TechCenter, as most of the features on our sites do not require a login or password. Registered writers may edit page content, but user priviliges must be approved by a moderator.
The TechCenter team consists of Dell employees with diverse yet complimentary backgrounds. Each team member specializes in a particular technology area and builds content around their area on the Dell TechCenter website.
To meet the team and learn more about the team, check out the About Us page. You can connect with each of us on Twitter, on the TechCenter website, or talk to us in person on live chats or at industry conferences.
