I'm curious whether the A05 through A07 BIOS updates would help with the crazy wifi issues that plague me at my workplace. I'm guessing it's really more a linux driver issue, but just on the off chance there's something in the BIOS that could help, I'm curious if people could share their BIOS version, and how often they experience wifi issues, if at all, and if they know what kind of wifi routers they connect to.
I run BIOS A04 and I have tons of wifi issues in a setting running 3 enterprise-level AP's. Once my wifi goes flaky, even trying to tether from my phone doesn't help. Sometimes restarting wifi will reconnect temporarily, but usually I have to completely shut down and cold boot.At home, I connect to a netgear n750 and don't think I've ever had a problem in the 2GHz or 5GHz ranges.
I don't have any wifi issue, The computer has A07 Bios, and Ubuntu 12.04 is up to date.
I'm currently running BIOS A04 and have no issues with WiFi. However, I am curious as to whether updating the BIOS would benefit me in any other way. The blue tooth keeps re-enabling and the brightness goes back to max, whenever the machine comes out of sleep.
@MightyWok: Bluetooth re-enables when the machine awakens from sleep? That's interesting-- mine doesn't do that, but it re-enables after a reboot (which is a known issue in the Ubuntu drivers, not just Sputnik).
