Enabling technologies for interconnecting data centers across IP/MPLS transport infrastructure continue to evolve. In the past, many different technologies such as MPLS, VPLS, layer 2 and layer 3 tunneling technologies such as GRE have been used. More recent innovations have introduced technologies such as VXLAN for Data Center Interconnect (DCI).
Dell EMC networking solutions provide (controller-based) dynamic as well as static data center interconnections leveraging the latest technologies. In this document, we provides details on how to best deploy static VXLANs to achieve data center interconnections across an IP cloud.
