Exchange deployment must be appropriately sized to meet not only specific message profile requirements, but also growth and high availability requirements.

This guide describes the design of Exchange 2016 solution on PowerEdge rack servers. In this guide, we have used the PowerEdge R730xd server as a building block, as it meets the requirements of Microsoft Exchange preferred architecture. Two scenarios have been considered to explain the design--5,000 and 10,000 mailbox implementations. Customers needing larger implementations can also use the building blocks to scale up and scale out as per their business needs.
