Blake Gonzales


Blake T. Gonzales | HPC Computer Scientist

As a Dell HPC Computer Scientist, Blake Gonzales brings a valued end-user perspective to the HPCatDell Team. Having served as a design and installation HPC engineer at ATK, and formerly as a system administrator at Texas Instruments Defense Systems, Blake understands the challenges of architecting computing systems for maximum performance and ROI. One of Blake’s areas of expertise includes designing HPC systems for fault tolerance and reliability.

From a systems standpoint, Blake has worked with a variety operating systems, schedulers, cluster management software, file systems, and applications. His application experience includes:
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA): Abaqus, ANSYS, NASTRAN, Optistruct, LS-DYNA, STAR-CD, STAR-CCM+
  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD): Fluent, CFD++, TetrUSS, Cart3D, Overflow

Blake received his Master of Computer Science from Colorado State University, where he concentrated on operating systems, computer architecture, and parallel programming. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University with an emphasis in computer engineering, microprocessor/digital design.

 


Garima Kochhar | Systems Engineer

Garima works in the Dell HPC Engineering team in Austin, Texas. Her current focus is on performance benchmarking. She has has worked on several aspects of HPC in her 6 years at Dell.

Garima has a Masters degree in Computer Science from The Ohio State University. Her Bachelor of Science is in Computer Science as well and from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India.

Calvin Jacob


Calvin Jacob | Senior Development Engineer, Massively Scale-out Systems Team - BDC

Calvin works with the HPC Solutions Engineering Team at the Bangalore Design Center. He has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology-Sikkim, India. His is currently focused on cluster packages and interconnects. His area of expertise is server and hardware technology. He has been with Dell for the last 4 years where the initial 2 years were spent with the Product Test and System Test Teams. Prior to Dell, Calvin has worked with IBM and HP.
Calvin Jacob

Saeed Iqbal

Saeed Iqbal | Senior Systems Engineer

Saeed Iqbal, is a Senior Systems Engineer in the Global Solutions Engineering Group at Dell Inc. Currently, he is the lead engineer on integration and performance analysis of the GPUs in the HPC clustering solution. He is also the lead engineer of the HPC Advisor online tool at Dell.com/hpc. This tool is used by HPC customers to design HPC clusters and associated high performance parallel storage clusters. Previously, he led the Virtualization Solutions Advisor, Beowulf HPC clustering software projects and Dell Grid Computing pilot projects.  His interests include, performance modeling and analysis of parallel and distributed architectures,  economic and power-efficient system design of HPC clusters,  application specific compute architectures,  high dimension optimization algorithms, DSP,  neural nets, genetic algorithms, process scheduling models, load balancing, and resource management and optimization. He holds a Ph.D. in HPC from the University of Texas at Austin.

Christine Fronczak


Christine Fronczak | HPC Marketing Manager

Christine Fronczak is the HPC Marketing Manager at Dell responsible for all marketing programs across Dell HPC solutions. In this role, Christine utilizes innovative marketing programs to enrich the HPC Community including Multimedia *** from Scientific Computing (e.g., www.HPCSource.com/Visualization), Enabling Discovery technical workshops (https://www.etouches.com/HPCBoston2011), as well as helping to drive the growth of Dell's active HPC Community at www.HPCatDell.com. Christine holds a BA in Mathematics/Computer Science and Secondary Education from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL and an MS in Computer Science from Iowa State University. Prior to joining Dell in 2009, Christine’s 25+ year career at HP included extensive experience in both engineering and marketing positions across multiple businesses including networking, servers and storage along with a role as HP’s WW Business Development Manager for Computer Aided Engineering(CAE). Christine is also a Nationally certified Referee/Starter for USA swimming. When she is not pursuing her passion for HPC, you might find Christine volunteering her time on the deck of swim pool in Northern California or at an NCAA college swim meet.

Anil Maurya

Anil Maurya | Senior Development Engineer, Massively Scale-out Systems Team

Anil works with the HPC Solutions Engineering Team at the Bangalore Design Center. He has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Technology from University of Rajasthan, India. He is a RHCE and CCNA and has extensive experience on Linux systems design and deployment. He has been with Dell for the last 1 year. Prior to Dell, Anil has worked with John Deere and Locuz Enterprise Solution Ltd.

Quy Ta

Quy Ta | Senior Systems Engineer

Quy has more than 17 years of experience in research and development in software systems and high speed data and storage networks. He has held positions in core engineering, technical sales and marketing as well as systems solutions development.

Nishanth Dandapanthula

Nishanth Dandapanthula |

Nishanth is a part of the Dell HPC Engineering team in Austin, Texas. His current focus is on Interconnects, MPI Stacks, Performance Analysis, Benchmarking and Profiling. He has a Masters degree in Computer Science from The Ohio State University where he worked with Dr. D. K. Panda at the Network Based Computing Lab. 

Mario Gallegos


Mario Gallegos, M.S. | Systems Engineer

Mario has a M.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso and a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering. Mario has over 15 years of experience in the high tech industry with companies like IBM, Sun Microsystems and now Dell. Within the Massively Scalable Solutions Group, Mario is a member of the storage solutions team, leading the development of the DT-HPC Storage Solution and contributing to the NFS Storage Solution, as well as evaluating new solutions and technologies with an emphasis in performance characterization. His interests include Filesystems, Storage technologies, Computer Architecture, Parallel and Distributed Processing, Image Processing, Digital Signal Processing and Neural Networks.

Kathy Mahady


Kathy Mahady, Global Commercial Marketing Manager

After eight years in marketing communications for several IT companies (Computacenter, Acer), Kathy began working for Dell in September 2002.   Her role at Dell involves listening to and promoting customers who are achieving more in their businesses and institutions thanks to IT and their Dell solutions.

Munira Hussain


Munira Hussain, System Engineer, Dell HPC Engineering group

Munira Hussain is a Systems Engineer in the HPC Engineering group. She has worked on various projects including subject matter expert in high speed low latency interconnect, benchmarking and application and various commercial and open source software solution stacks. She did her Electrical Engineering with minor in Computer Science from University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign.
