Happy New Year! Last week’s chat kicked off the TechTuesday Chat series for 2009 with a large turnout and a discussion of the browser-based Dell Client Configuration Utility (DCCU) 3.0. The discussion covered key new features of the A01 release. Be sure to view the transcript if you weren’t able to attend the chat.

This week's chat will be open topic. Bring your questions, comments, ideas, and expertise on any enterprise technology topic you'd like to discuss.

If you've previously installed OMCI and want to find out more about automating BIOS configuration, be sure to attend the upcoming January 20 chat on OpenManage Client Instrumentation (OMCI) and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).

As always, if you have questions about any Dell TechCentersite content, be sure to post them to the bottom of any page and we’ll take a look.

Favorite of the Week

  • “A script to ‘automagically’ enable Wake on LAN during OSD…I like the sound of that!” was one reaction in last week’s chat to the ability to use asset tags and command-line functions in DCCU during operating system deployment. In addition to the WOL setting—“easier than filling the USB ports with epoxy,” as another attendee put it—you can just turn off the USB ports so you’re not in the news like the U.S. Army. Be sure to attend this week’s chat!
