One of the powerful features of Double-Take Move is it's ability to provision virtual guest machines where a P2V migration is required (Hyper-V or vSphere).
In addition to Double-Take Move provisioning the target virtual guest machine, it also replicates (real-time) into the virtual host and maintains a connection up until the migration/cutover occurs.
This results in minimal downtime during the migration.

Key Features of Double-Take Move 6.0

* Migrate full servers (P2P, P2V, V2V, V2P)
* Data migration (volume to volume same server or to different server)
* 60 day time limit (from activation) to perform the migration
* Real-time, byte-level replication
* Minimal down-time during cut-over

Below, you will find demonstrations of how the P2V server migration process works with Double-Take Move, for both P2V into Hyper-V and P2V into vSphere virtual hosts.

Demo 1 : P2V Hyper-V

The following video demonstrates a P2V migration of a physical server to a Hyper-V virtual host, using the Double-Take Move 6.0 product.
