Dell OpenManage Essentials (OME) is a hardware management application that provides a comprehensive view of Dell systems, devices, and components in the enterprise’s network. Health monitoring in OME has two parts to it:

1. SNMP traps received from the remote device.
2. Health Poll to retrieve the latest status of the remote device.

The Dell OpenManage Essentials MIB Import utility allows you to extract trap definitions from SNMP supported device MIB files. The extracted traps can be viewed and edited before importing them into OME. These imported trap definitions help OME to properly classify the incoming traps.
