Trouble with Inventory Agents updates

  • Hi all

I have some troubles when updating Agents to newer version (happens for server & clients)
It *seems* to install OK, but after the next windows update agent check for new updates, the update pop's up again.

What seems to work is uninstalling the "older" version and manually deleting all files in C:\program files\dell\sysmgmt\dsia

    Are there any known issues?
Is there a logfile I could consult?

(The Agent is imported using System Center Essentials & DELL Update Catalogs)

    Thanks & Cheers

Can you please let us know the version of DSIA (release id) that is installed in the client and the version you are trying to upgrade? I will try and simulate this in my setup.
    Thanks

  • I think I now found the error.
I had approved multiple versions of DSIA in System Center Essentials, and it seems that the updates do not properly expire older revisions, and so it flipped between Version 1.3.0.203 and 1.3.0.208 forth and back... ;)
I now declined the older revisions, and it seems to be OK now.

    Cheers

  • Good that you were able to resolve it. BTW we have just released a newer server catalog which includes newer version of DSIA and some new updates. Feel free to download it.
