2970 and CPU Chk E1422 front panel LCD

  • well 2 days, 3 hours on with TS resolved Nothing. Reload ESX to solve a hardware problem.?
Since Dell wasn't going to send anyone to fix it, we stripped all the parts and went forward with putting them back in.
    Problem solved.
FYI CPU Chk means hardware issue not a software issue. This was the worst experience with DELL since 1999 I can remember.

  • Dell servers are terrible with front panel messages in general in my experiences with them. 2970's and 2950's......

Nobody ever seems to really know what they mean, even on the newer like R610's, ect..ect... I am usually told not to worry about them. And a power cycle does seem to often clear them for a while before they come back again.
