Anyone having trouble building E7450 via SCCM OSD?
I am having trouble with the driver installation. Something is failing me, and keep getting the "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error". This error will keep reappearing on reboot. Haven't figured out which driver is doing this to me as yet. Have updated the drivers to the latest where i can, but still no good. Thanks, DM.
The issue seems to be with the driver -
Intel(R) Management Engine Components Installer (x64 chipset - 3TY1R).
When you install this manually, there are no issues.
However, using drivers from this CAB pack, crashes the install in OSD. Even if I had the KMDF 1.11 installed.
If you change the folder layout of this driver, seems to work. Check out the same driver for E7440 (different version), and see how the folder and files are setup on that version. Worked for me in testing. Just doing my full build now with all the drivers in it. More update later....
Any luck here? I am running into the same issues.
Just some of my experiences with this build.
In the end, all I needed was both UMDF and KMDF installed. I initially had the KMDF only.
You may need to reorganise the folder/files for the driver :
to make it work in your OSD. Have a look at the similar driver on E7440 CAB, and make the folder layout the same, and should work.
Another note from my build. If you are using Legacy Boot and a 3rd part drive encryption system like McAfee SafeBoot/DriveEncryption you may end up with Error 0xe002001b No Boot disk was found. It looks like a new BIOS was just put out on 04/15/2015 to resolve this. I will be testing soon.
FYI - I had trouble getting this model to work in our SCCM 2012 R2 environment. Our SCCM primary server is running Windows 2008R2 and needed a MS hotfix to be able to import newly signed drivers. This fixed it for us.
We're seeing a problem with this A04 driver package in MDT. During the "Setting up/Configure" with the normal black screen an error from "Setup.exe" pops up saying it cannot find MSCVR120.DLL. This holds up the build until you accept it by clicking OK. When I turn off Dells drivers and use Big Bang's Universal Imaging Utility in my Task Sequence instead, no problems. What driver app is causing this?
After the build is complete there's three drivers missing in the Device Mangler. when I update the drivers manually, I point the update path to my MDT driver collection for the same model and each were updated successfully! The drivers are there, how are these not getting applied?
Intel dynamic platform and thermal framework Memory Participant
Intel dynamic platform and thermal framework Processor Participant
Intel dynamic platform and thermal framework Wireless Participant
Finally, WUDFHost starts ramping up and consuming all available RAM, and with it goes the system fan ramping up too. If you disable the "Intel Wireless Gigabit User Mode Driver" in the Device Mangler, that problem immediately stops and the system immediately stabilizes again. Reboot and turn it back on, the cycle repeats. It seems the only way to get it to stop is to install the full application. Installing any driver available (from CAB or consumer site) does not fix it.
Can you open a support ticket on this issue as we need to escalate this and possibly include Intel into the conversation.
How do I extract these files out for use without having to click save on each of the 1763 files?
Most customers use Winzip to extract the cabs.
I'm currently Deploying Win7x64 with MDT on a E7450, and a E5550.
I have a problem with three drivers:
Broadcom BiometicDevice, SmartCardReader, Win7Proximity
They don't install during the task sequence.
I can install them manually at the end. with the .inf
Does anyone have an issue ?
I have the exact same issue as govgeek with WUDFHost consuming all RAM until you install the full WiGig application, the driver itself will not resolve it, only having the interface installed.
Anyone else see a garbled Comparison Report? Any chance it could be fixed?
