Free Fall Data Protection (ST Microelectronics-GY99K) doesn't install/show-up in Control Panel or Uninstall Programs? Driver installs fine & no errors in Device Manager. I don't necessarily need the control panel icon, I just want to make sure its ON & working since I've had a rash of HDD failures recently on these imaged PC's
MDT 2013, Win7 Pro SP1 x64. Happening on A04 & A05 as well as another model E5540
From my experience, the Free Fall Sensor never installs with a CAB. Its an exe that has to be run from the desktop as a silent install near the end of your Task Seq, They are all "setup.exe /s" (without quotes) to get it to install silently. ***, as we have so many models of Dells that each one has its own setup.exe /s and its own Free Fall Sensor installer.
Am I the only one who gets "Windows can't verify the publisher of this driver software" with the btath_vdp-driver?
It can be found in "network\WF2N2_A00_00\Windows7-x64\Bluetooth-Driver" ?
I could just remove it, but I am getting this error on many drivers from different Latitude-models.
I have tried the different bcdedit-commands and removed the machines from the domain (to avoid GPO) etc.
Any help would be appreciated.
