After updating my boot image with the NIC drivers and installing this driver package via SCCM 2012 R2, my desktop doesn't start windows.
Error: Error: Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might have caused the issue
@ferdi015 I have the same issue. This issue seems to have something to do with the Sandisk NVMe SSD inside and the way Windows 7 addresses it. I am able to image the same hardware with Windows 10 no problem. Similar setup to yours (SCCM 2012 R2).
@CRB_PJ, I solved it here by slipstreaming a couple of hotfixes (KB2990941 + KB3087873) into the WIM-file. These updates give Windows 7 NVMe support. The Driver package installed without problems.
@ferdi015 Thanks for replying! I tried that too, but am still getting errors after the drivers install and SCCM restarts the system. Are you imaging in UEFI or BIOS mode, and any other settings you can recommend?
We don't use special actions but we're just using BIOS mode. Our task sequence is not (yet) compatible with UEFI.
I have a 7050 OptiPlex tower with windows 7 installed. I have tried the driver install from downloads.dell.com/.../Intel-HD-Graphics-510-530-630-Driver_CMGP0_WIN_184.108.40.20671_A04.EXE
and get the error "your computer does not meet the minimum requirements"
please try to reproduce this in your lab. The small form factor seems to be fine.
We are having a similar problem with the new 7050 that we received. Image deploys to other machines fine. Even an older 7050 Micro. On the new desktop the image and drivers are deployed via SCCM and the computer does a scheduled reboot. From there it tries to load the Windows 7 image and just goes into a reboot loop.
We are setting the Bios to not use UEFI and SATA controller to ACHI.
