Hey there. Looks like a few drivers have been updated since version A00 here. A new package coming soon at all OR should I manually import these new ones?
I ended up grabbing the drivers and importing them manually. Background story is that we had issues with the WD15 dock flickering the displays and saw there were a few updates for it.
The CV directory of the security section gave a "Length cannot be less than zero" error when importing into MDT. I had to do the rest of the folders one at a time.
The CV directory of the security section gave a "Length cannot be less than zero" error when importing into MDT. ". ComVault still an issue needs to be installed as an app why cant we get this fixed?
Anyone succeed to inject drivers in MDT deployment?
I have import all the drivers, created a selection profile and configure the deployment task to add the inject driver for the Latitude E7480.
When deploying the Windows 10, the injection is very quick and a lots of devices are missing drivers. I see the model name very shortly, so the task is configure correctly.
Looks like none of the devices are detected or matching the out-of-the-box-drivers. Installing the drivers manally after the deployment, works fine.
This Windows 10 CAB driver set has a lot of opportunities for improvement. Not sure whats going on with Dell on this one. Just finally had a succesfull build on Friday this is how:
1) First of all you need to explode the set and remove the ComVault driver set from the security folder because it has divide by equal error.Dell keeps struggling with this one. Same issue with 7470 and Windows 10.
2) You need to download all network adapter drivers from driver site explode the drivers (driver.exe /s /e:c:\driverfolder) and then import them individually. This does not work with ComVault and Broadcom Biometric security products so go to Step 3.
3) Create 2 separate "Application Installation" one for ComVault and another for the Broadcom security hardware tasks, filter these apps to be applied WMI filter (you need these constantly if you have XPS in your inventory). You can use this old article for guidance www.markwilson.co.uk/.../hardware-specific-application-targeting-with-mdt-2010.htm
Any one using SCCM to image these? Got a tryNbuy model with a Hynix m.2. No disk showing in WinPE 10.0.10586.0.
No luck with the Intel RST 14/15 driver in WinPE or a Windows 10 (v1607 & v1703) install USB key.
The Latitude 5289 with Toshiba m.2 works just fine ...
*scratches head*. I'm sure it's something simple I'm over looking.
@mz6569 We use SCCM and have this working. Hope you've got the laptop ready for Secure boot etc. It appears the driver we have in our DaRT boot image is the Intel 8 Series SATA AHCI Controller v188.8.131.528. Just a couple of things but hope it helps.
@mattdowner Can you please share me the download link regarding the driver of Intel 8 Series SATA AHCI Controller v184.108.40.2068 that I wanna have a try with my MDT server?
I assume you are using 7480 or 5480 which are equipped with Hynix M2.
Thanks in advanced
@wta1sha Hi there, I'm pretty sure I got that driver out of the driver package here
Update your CAB!!!! The ASMedia Technology Inc USB driver is out of date on this pack. Current version is 220.127.116.11, the driver pack version is 18.104.22.168. The RealTek Network driver rtux64w10.INF is out of date, included version 10.12.1007.2016, and the current version is 10.16.0321.2017. The Intel Thunderbolt controller driver is completely missing, it should be present, Intel(R) Corporation Net tp2p81x.inf 22.214.171.124 and Intel(R) Corporation System tbt81x.inf 126.96.36.199. You guys are right on it.
The display adapter fails to install correctly in every driver pack after version A04 when deploying using SCCM 1802. The wireless adapter also fails to install. We're now seeing this behavior for new driver packs for other models as well. The display adapter error is "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing."
