Sent a private message to Warren about the issue, but receving Length cannot be less than zero error when attempting to import CAB into MDT 2013 U2. From searching, it seems other Win10 CABs have the same error dealing with the CVUSB / Security Driver.
Hi NerranZ ,
There is a known issue related to Control Vault driver with MDT, We are working on this to get it resolved.
Has anyone found a work around for importing CABs for 7280, 7480 or the 5580? Getting the same error as NerranZ mentioned on 2/10/17. Thanks.
Update: Revision A01 - 03/14/2017 still returns the "Length cannot be less than zero" when attempting to import into MDT 2013.
Will there be a Win7 x64 CAB for the Latitude 5580?
Miked_MMC - The 5580 uses the 7th Gen "Kaby Lake" CPU, which technically doesn't support Windows 7 (in fact, I do not think you can even buy them new with Win7 downgrade rights (versus the 5570 which you can). So not sure if Dell would release a Win7 CAB for it....but lets hope and pray they can fix the stupid Broadcom Control Vault stuff.
I manually removed the Security Driver from the CAB and can image the 5580's, but then must install the driver afterwards (or create a task sequence to do it).
@Neeran:- Dell is now having challenges delivering EXX70 models and promoting XX80 models ,but with 6th Gen CPU will it have the Win-7 Support, If yes where we can get the driver pack to download?
I have not heard of this (nor could I locate any official whitepapers). I doubt (but cannot say for sure) they could just swap the CPU without a total Motherboard replacement as well and possibly other stuff). Sounds like a lot of work. Are you sure they are not the e5570's without the ePort on the bottom?
Just wanted to chime in to say that I'm getting the same "length cannot be less than zero" error:
System.Management.Automation.CmdletInvocationException: Length cannot be less than zero.

Over 5 months and still not working. Quality by Dell.
Sadly yes Hyvkar,
We just received an order of 25 5580's and 50 OptiPlex 3050's (With more of both on the way, so I came here a few days ago, praying for a fully working release and any updates, but alas no luck.
What I have done is extract the Control Vault drivers from the CAB and removed those. I then imported the remaining drivers into MDT. I just manually install the ControlVault Drivers (I could make a task sequence and all that to do it for me, but eh, hoping one day for a working release!).
Please use below driver pack which have Control Vault driver issue fix with MDT
Thank you Pramod R, I am downloading the driver now and will test it out soon! Hopefully you can push this fix to any other affected driver packs!
Thanks Pramod nad NerranZ! This new cab is 220MB smaller that one offered in this page. Do I need both? Also would like a fix for 7280. Getting a shipment of 7280s and 5580s soon.
Just wanted to add, that cannot no longer even download the cabinet file. Been trying past hour with different browsers, different workstations and even outside our office, and it just gets interrupted every time. WTG Dell.
