Getting DPTF 256 errors in Win logs re. esif ver. 8.1.10605.221
This unit is hence failing socialisation under Win10...
Anyone know of an upcoming update for this?
Anyone having issues when docking an E7470 with the E series docking stations? Specifically flickering monitors? We've tried numerous solutions including, too many to mention, but nothing has worked.
The control vault drivers do not install automatically and it can't find them with a search. Still have to download the installer and that kicks them in. Seen it with the XX70 line in fact.
I kept getting MDT errors trying to import E7470-WIN10-A04-MVT4C.CAB after manually expanding the CAB. Only after removing the ControlVault driver by deleting the "Security" folder, the drivers injected just fine.

There is a import issue with Control vault driver only with MDT , Dell Team is working with Broadcom to get this issue fixed.
Will provide an update once this issue is resolved.
I got the same issue with the E5470.
It looks like this is not a new issue. I have seen others from 2013 with similar problems.
Dell, please do the right thing and fix it.
MDT Problems importing Drive- Broadcom USH \ Dell ControlVault w/o Fingerprint Sensor
Driver works when manually used outside of MDT.
Sounds like this is known issue for a while...any update\ETA on resolution ??
Following is the error:
Scanning directories for the count of INFs to import.
Performing the operation "import" on target "Out-of-box drivers".
There seems to be a bug with MDT when trying to import some of these packages. It seems like it doesn't like to import files with no extension. In this case, if you extract the CAB file and go into the security folder, there is a file with no extension named 'current_version' located in the firmware folder in this path ..\security\P62GJ_A00-00\Win10x64\CV\firmware\
The "current_version" file is just a text file. So my solution was to add an extension so I renamed it to "current_version.txt" and also edit the references to that file in the associated INF file which is cvusbdrv.inf in the CV folder. Basically, I just added .txt to both references in the INF file to match the new file name. After this, MDT imported the driver just fine.
I believe this solution can be used for other packages where the manufacturer has decided to include files that have no extension.
@mveras1972 - thank you for this suggestion. I just tried it and it work great. So annoying that is something so simple to fix causing so many headaches.
