Download link to the cab is broken - 404 - File or directory not found.
When will this be available?
Download link still broken :( I see that this driver pack has the A01 USB3.0 driver too, which might fix my issue with some of the new driver models (3040/7040/7510) not installing the USB drivers properly with the A00 USB 3.0 driver.
Download is available again now, however using this driver pack with an MDT 2013 U1 deployment is failing.
Machine fails with an error when Detecting Devices on the first boot to Windows.
Seeing the same problems as mentioned here: en.community.dell.com/.../19677257
I sat down at watched the entire imaging process, this time I actually caught the BSOD.
It's the USB3 drivers.... once again!
On removing all USB3 drivers from the MDT driver repo, the machine appears to have imaged successfully.
Have not had time to attempt to narrow down specifically which driver it is.
I can confirm that after manually removing the Intel USB3.0 drivers included in the A01 cab file and inserting the drivers from Intel's latest USB 3.0 extensible host controller driver set: downloadcenter.intel.com/.../USB-3-0-Driver-Intel-USB-3-0-eXtensible-Host-Controller-Driver-for-Intel-8-9-100-Series-and-C220-C610-Chipset-Family
MDT now successfully deploys our standard Win7 x64 image.
Your Intel USB 3.0 ExHost Driver solution worked for me. I've actually emailed Dell Tech Support your solution as I had a ticket opened with them.
Good looking out!
Alas on a closer look we're still not 100% successful yet...
The graphics driver is not deploying with the proper Intel HD 530 drivers.
Post deployment checking Device Manager shows Standard VGA Graphics Adapter.
If you force the device to Update Driver from Windows Update it will pull down the correct driver.
If you force the device to Update Driver from the MDT Deploymentshare, it also installs the correct driver once already in Windows. So it seems as though it's just failing to inject correctly during imaging.
Checking the MDT ZTIDriver log you can see it query the device and find the correct driver folder and it suggests that it installs and shows no errors, but once you hit the desktop you only see Standard VGA, no Intel graphics options on desktop right click etc.
I have tried manually replacing the driver with the latest Intel drivers and a few other revisions of Dell "Intel HD, 5300, 5500, 6000, 515, 520, 530, P530, Iris 540 Graphics Driver" with no success.
It appears that there is very similar discussion about both the USB3 and Video drivers as well (I assume it's the same chipset) en.community.dell.com/.../11662.optiplex-7040-windows-7-driver-pack
It seems like these A01 driver cabs for the skylake systems still have a way to go before being fully functional on Win7...
Stemhelp I have ran into this issue also. I had to install the OS from the Dell disk on a VM, then capture the image to WDS. There is an issue with the Intel video driver when capturing from a 3040 and deploying onto a 3020.
Each time we got a new model it doesn't works fine with WDS...
Thanks to Stemhelp for the solution.
Whenever we inject the drivers with our MDT server, the computer boots up just fine but no USB peripherals work. This is becoming far to common with Skylake chipsets and Windows 7. No issues with Windows 10.
@ Stemhelp: Thank you for your information. How do you force update drivers from MDT post deployment?
I really appreciate your help.
