I am trying to image Windows 10 on the 5510 and it does not pick up the ethernet adapter when it gets to Windows. I have to unplug and replug to get it to recognize. Is this something that can be fixed?
I'm having the same issue as Jared.
When will this driver pack be updated? There are a number of newer drivers required to stop the laptop blue screening and freezing that aren't included in this driver pack.
@philsid: Please share which drivers you have installed to solve the freezing issue?
I'm seeing the same thing.
@ mikkelmeister - Almost all of them unfortunately. I couldn't work out exactly what driver resolved the issue so we are now applying all of the latest drivers in this order:
1. Update BIOS to the latest version
2. Install Intel(R) Thunderbolt(TM) Controller Driver
3. Install Intel(R) Thunderbolt(TM) 3 Firmware Update
4. Install Realtek USB GBE Ethernet Controller Driver
5. Install Realtek USB Audio Driver for Dell Wireless Dock, Dell Thunderbolt Dock, Dell Docking Monitor Stand and Dell Dock.
6. Install Intel Rapid Storage Technology F6 Driver
7. Install Intel Intel(R) Management Engine Components Installer
8. Install Intel Serial IO Driver
9. Install and run Dell Command Update to update any remaining drivers
This seems to have fixed the BSOD and freezing issues for us. It's a lot of manual work and I haven't been able to automate this using a task sequence yet. Still hoping Dell might get this driver pack updated!
I had to configure my task sequence to update the bios before applying drivers. I also manually downloaded all newer drivers posted on the model's support page and replacing the ones in this driver pack with those.
After doing that, my task sequence installed all drivers and completed successfully.
@ pctec100 - Would you mind sharing the steps to update the BIOS? Do you have any checks in place to ensure the latest BIOS isn't already installed or just apply the BIOS update every time?
