What do I need to do to get inventory info on my desktops. They are all dell. Is there a client piece ?

Yes there is a separate client piece that can snap into DMC. There's a dedicated DMC discussion forum over here that might be of interest --> http://en.community.dell.com/groups/dell_management_console/default.aspx
