Desktop Authority Essentials
I have a client with the older version of Desktop Authority 8.1
They have a license count of 10, but for some reason it shows that it is counting 13.
And a physical count of all the machines there is only 8.
Is there a way to force DA to re-count the machines?
In cases where the Managed Seats exceeds the number of Licensed Seats I would first run a report to see which machines are using licenses. To view this report launch the Desktop Authority Reporting Console and select the Hardware Inventory | Managed Computer Inventory. Click Generate and then press OK. This will give you a list of machine names that are using licenses and should help clarify why the Managed Seats are higher than expected. Managed Seats remain active for 3 days. If the machine does not report in after 72 hours the license will be released.
After reviewing the Managed Computer Inventory report and you feel that the number reported is incorrect then you can open a ticket with our Technical Support Department. https://support.software.dell.com/manage-service-request
