Microsoft officially announced RTM (released to manufacturing) for Windows Server 2012 R2. This means that the OEM partners get access to the gold bits. General Availability for Windows Server 2012 R2 & System Center 2012 R2 is set for October the 18th. <p>Oddly though Microsoft 's single Standard license is now good for up to 2 processors or two virtual instances of servers Dell refuses to quote anything less than a two processors at a premium cost. This is the least costly Server 2012: • OLP SNGL LANG WIN SVR STD 2012R2 NL 2PROC</p>
