Our first EMEA Cloud chat was very well received by global enterprise technologists interested in Dell’s extensive cloud solution offerings. We provided a brief overview over our main cloud solutions; encouraged by the positive feedback we decided to follow up with a series of chats (every third Thursday of a month at 4.00 pm CET) each of them dedicated to one specific Dell product or solution.

Our next chat will be hosted at Thursday 19th April 2012, 4.00 - 5.00 pm CET and we will dive deeply into Dell Desktop Virtualization Solutions (DVS) Simplified. This solution is targeted at small and midsize businesses, educational organizations, governments and public sector agencies. The key components are Citrix VDI-in-a-Box management software with Dell PowerEdge servers and a 3-year Dell ProSupport package. Deploying DVS Simplified is a matter of:

1. Unboxing, racking and powering on the server
2. Initiating the grid environment
3. Importing a master image and creating a virtual desktop template
4. Assigning users and/or user groups to the virtual desktop template

Or, in short: Plug and play.

Dell & Citrix engineers talk with customers

Our ultimate goal for our chats is to bring together engineers who design and build our solutions with customers wanting to understand in detail what we do and what value we deliver. Please join the Thursday 19th April (I have attached to this blog post an Outlook invite for your convenience).  Just go to delltechcenter.adobeconnect.com/chat (important note: do not type www ...) and pick a username of your choice. Looking forward to see you there!
